By accessing or using SourcingLens (sourcinglens.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and paying customers.
2. Nature of the Service
SourcingLens is an AI-powered landed cost estimation tool. It provides directional cost estimates for import planning purposes only. Outputs include estimated tariff rates, freight costs, compliance charges, and total landed cost calculations based on publicly available data and AI inference.
All figures produced by SourcingLens are estimates. They are not legal advice, customs rulings, or guaranteed cost representations. Tariff classifications (HS codes) suggested by the tool are AI-generated and may not reflect the classification a customs authority would assign to your specific product.
3. No Reliance Without Independent Verification
You must independently verify all outputs before using them for purchasing decisions, supplier negotiations, customs filings, financial planning, or any other commercial purpose. SourcingLens does not assume responsibility for decisions made in reliance on tool outputs. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed customs broker or trade attorney for binding classifications or regulatory compliance matters.
4. Accounts and Access
Certain plan tiers (Pro and Pro Monthly) require payment via Stripe. Access is granted upon successful payment confirmation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms.
5. Payments and Refunds
Starter and Pro plans are one-time purchases. Pro Monthly is a recurring subscription billed monthly. Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms. 6. Intellectual Property
All content on SourcingLens — including guides, blog articles, UI elements, methodology, and proprietary calculations — is owned by SourcingLens and protected by applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
Export reports and CSV outputs generated from your own product data are yours to use for your internal business purposes.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of trade regulations
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the platform
- Share account access or resell outputs as a competing data service
- Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through the tool
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
SourcingLens is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all tariff data is current. Tariff rates and trade policy change frequently; you are responsible for verifying that any data you use reflects current regulations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SourcingLens and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to lost profits, customs penalties, or business losses resulting from reliance on tool outputs. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
